Smiles

I can’t be the only one who lives
A lie with Fake Smiles
Whilst I am dying, crying and
Breaking up inside
Anxiety lies.

From ear to ear this smile hides
The fear that no one will see
How much Anxiety is killing me.

Day to day, a Smile, a wave, a nod of the head,
all this dread before I have even left my bed.

Now I am up with this Smile on My face,
my heart is pounding,
My head a race
Through this crowd I just hope
To see a familiar face
Someone who knows I’m about to break

Knowing that my Smile is fake
They give me a hug and say
It’s OK, your doing well and very brave.

Now simmer down and make
That head behave.
